Year 6 'evacuees' in Bristol

Year 6 were 'evacuated' to Bristol for a day of historic discovery, learning more about the impact of World War 2 on the city.

Dressed in clothing appropriate to the 1940s, pupils visited the MShed museum to participate in an immersive activity-packed workshop where they learned about the Bristol Blitz, how ordinary people were affected, air raids and evacuations. Pupils were also able to handle and study a range of real and replica objects. A fun day of interactive learning which gave pupils an insight into the impact of the war on every day life.
