Life at Stonar School

International pupils are encouraged to join in clubs at lunchtimes and after school. This is important for socialising and also helps them to improve their spoken English in an informal atmosphere.

An International Students' Society organises social events and is a forum for international pupils to voice their ideas and concerns. Every year we hold an International Dinner. An international menu is provided and girls organise entertainment including singing, poetry reading and sketches.

Support

Stonar provides a generous level of support to each individual student, and outside the boarding house there are a number of individuals who provide support on a regular basis. Each class has a form tutor who will provide academic and pastoral support.

Small class sizes allow pupils to get to know teachers well and they will be happy to talk over any issue, whether academic or personal.

The Medical Centre is at the heart of the campus, both geographically and emotionally. It is staffed during school hours by qualified nurses who provide full professional care to all students. The school counsellor can provide additional support to pupils who may require further help
